A great way to start ballooning is to go for a flight in a commercially operated balloon. That way you can have a ballooning experience, a lot of fun, and find out if ballooning is something that you would enjoy.

The Club is an amateur sports aviation club and does not conduct paid passenger flights however a number of our members are also commercial passenger balloon operators and can be found on the links page should you be looking for that once in a lifetime flight.

The BCNSW&ACT does not accept any responsibility for bookings made with these operators nor do we guarantee their service levels.

A commercial flight usually lasts from 45 mins to 1 hour and often includes breakfast after the flight. You will have the opportunity to meet some professional balloonists, and you will experience the social nature of ballooning as well as the enjoyment that comes from flying the balloon.

Passenger balloons fly about 150,000 passengers a year in Australia
